THE EXPERIENCE

Having your portrait drawn is a special experience and one most of us have never had.

For a moment, everything slows down. You sit, we talk, I draw — and an impression of you starts to appear on the page.

For me, live drawing is an energy exchange. I draw intuitively, responding to the person sitting in front of me. During the time we have together, I aim to capture a expressive impression, rather than focusing only on likeness, and I think that connection comes through in the drawing

It’s also a lovely thing to watch. There’s something magical about seeing someone you know being drawn, watching the portrait slowly take shape, and then seeing their reaction when they look at a version of themselves in art form.

It’s a chance to feel seen, to connect, and to take a little piece of that moment home with you.

PRIVATE PORTRAIT EXPERIENCES

$99 per person · Minimum 5 guests

Gather your favourite people and enjoy an intimate live portrait experience where each guest is individually drawn and leaves with an original artwork to remember the occasion.

Each portrait is created on premium A3 paper using soft pastel and is carefully sealed and prepared for your guest to take home.

Portraits generally take around 30 minutes each.

WEDDINGS & EVENTS

2 HOURS — $750
Approximately 4-6 guest portraits

3 HOURS — $1,000
Approximately 6-8 guest portraits

4 HOURS — $1,250
Approximately 8-10 guest portraits

5 HOURS — $1,500
Approximately 10-12 guest portraits

Portrait numbers are approximate and can vary depending on the style and detail of each drawing and the flow of the event.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Guests receive:

• Live, individually drawn, expressive portrait art piece

• Drawn using high quality materials & soft pastels

• Created on premium A3 paper

• Carefully fixed and wrapped for transporting home

• Each person will sit for 20-30 mins while their portrait is being drawn

• If preferred, a photo can be taken and worked from instead. (Works especially well for wriggly kids!)

• Guest are free to watch the artwork appear and develop

• Local travel within the Fleurieu Peninsula. Travel fees may occur at other locations and will be discussed during the quotation stage.

• I will arrive at the venue early to set up. Lighting and placement are important factors and can be discussed prior to the event.

• A 50% deposit is required to secure your date

  *Please take care as soft pastels are delicate and can be easily smudged or transferred.

SOMETHING A LITTLE EXTRA

If you’d like to take the experience further, I can create a more considered and detailed portrait commission in my studio after the event. This is wonderful addition for brides, families and milestone birthdays who are wanting an heirloom piece of art to keep, that captures the special moment in time or that person as they are.

Framing and shipping can also be arranged.
